RELEASED - November 2009

EARLYRETIRE PRO™ 2010

New in this release:

  1. Renamed from "Nest Egg Early Retirement Pro" to "EarlyRetire Pro".
  2. An expanded, professional Report with integrated integrated charts, diagrams and educational sections can be printed or saved to a viewable HTML file. The new customizable Report includes title pages with your company information, appendices, descriptions of the EarlyRetire model, Monte Carlo simulation, the distribution algorithm, and more. The Report is more informative within the plan sections, inserting captions and explanations, and showing all relevant inputs and results. Appendices, charts, client or corporate information, and other pages can be optionally included or excluded. A Print Preview helps you design reports to your liking.
  3. New IRS rules allow you to convert your 72(t) plan from the Annuity or Amortization method to the Minimum Distribution method once during your 72(t) period. This can potentially save you money. EarlyRetire now takes advantage of this rule by converting your 72(t) plan to the Minimum Distribution method in a year you specify, or it can be set to automatically convert your 72(t) method as part of your plan if and when EarlyRetire determines it is to your benefit.
  4. The IRS allows you to take penalty-free withdrawals from a 401(k) before you are 59½ if you retire after age 55. EarlyRetire now uses your specified 401(k) funds to provide early penalty-free retirement distributions whenever possible, reducing your taxes and increasing your retirement income.
  5. Roth IRA contribution rules have been updated to reflect new IRS regulations for 2010 and beyond.
  6. New variables are added to allow you to more easily model your debts and liabilities.
  7. Monte Carlo Probability is calculated differently. Probabilities for both the Pre- and Post-retirement periods are now displayed separately on the Planner, and a third probability is calculated for the entire time span of the plan (displayed at the top of the Planner). All three values are calculated using real market data over random periods in history.
  8. Financial Events are now labeled on the Graph.
