In addition to price-volume, Fundwatch now downloads and retains high, low, and open price data.
High-low-open data permits more in-depth analysis of price movement and
enables the employment of additional technical analysis methods. The
downloaded data is obtained from Yahoo!® (if you don't have access to Yahoo!®,
you won't be able to use this feature). High-low-open data can only be entered
into Fundwatch by using the download feature (either when updating weekly data or acquiring historical data), and only
if it is available for the security (e.g. high-low-open data is not available for mutual funds).
New technical analysis functions include Candlestick plots, On Balance
Volume, Parabolic Stop-And-Reverse,
and Stochastic Oscillator. All of these
can be graphed. Parabolic SAR is also added to the Trend Analysis report, and the Stochastic
is added to the Momentum Analysis report, with configurable alerts. These new
indicators make use of high-low-open and volume data to provide more
in-depth analysis of market moves.
Fundwatch can now import securities from a text file. If you have historical data for a security, you can instantly
load it and track it with Fundwatch. New prompting makes it easier to add and download new
securities from the internet as well.
A new Yearly Analysis report shows security performance for each year going back seven years from the specified
ending date (useful to see how securities perform relative to each other during different economic cycles and other events).
Symbols are now displayed on every report and selection list. The Portfolio display can be restricted to list only
securities in which you own shares, so you can focus on your positions.
