Attention Easy ROR Pro Users

Effective September 2024, Yahoo!® (yahoo.com) has become a subscription-based service that no longer provides free historical data for indexes or securities. For this reason, Easy ROR Pro can no longer freely access historical benchmark data from the internet.

Easy ROR Pro 18.1 provides a feature to sign in to a Yahoo account in order to continue to access historical data. You must separately subscribe to Yahoo!® Gold service to obtain a username and password. You can then sign in through Easy ROR Pro under the Options menu during sessions for which you need to access data.

With Easy ROR Pro 18.1 you may still be able to download latest benchmark prices without a Yahoo account and build your current benchmark data forward (you will also have to enter benchmark dividends under Manual Pricing in order to get their effects on rate of return). Be advised that yahoo.com detects frequent server requests and may temporarily lock out Easy ROR if the number of benchmarks is large or if you are frequently updating. Please review and abide by Yahoo's terms of service for permitted usage of their website.

You can still import benchmark data into Easy ROR Pro from text files, and you can still add prices manually. Of course all of Easy ROR Pro's benchmark functionality is still active for data currently in your database.

We sincerely regret this situation and its impact on our products and our customers. We will try to continue to support you as best we can. Periodically check your Upgrades menu option for status updates.
