Application Being Blocked by Windows
Windows 11 is adding AI-based security features that may be preventing applications
from HSI and other vendors from running. Until problems with these new features are resolved,
it may be necessary for you to disable the features in order to run HSI applications on your computer.
Disable Smart App Control Blocking
Smart App Control (SAC) is a Windows 11 security feature that blocks
unsigned or untrusted applications. It operates in "Evaluation" mode to assess compatibility, then can
be set to "On" or "Off." Turning it off is advertised to be
permanent, however there is a workaround to turn it back on once you
have turned it off (see video link below).
To disable Microsoft Smart App Control (SAC) in Windows 11, navigate to Settings > Privacy & security > Windows Security > App & browser control
> Smart App Control Settings and set it to Off.

Disable Reputation-Based Blocking
Reputation-based blocking is a
Windows 11
security mechanism
that prevents users from running applications based on their assigned
"reputation" score.
To disable Reputation-based blocking in Windows 11, navigate to Settings > Privacy & security > Windows Security > App & browser control
> Reputation-based blocking > Potentially unwanted app blocking and set it to
Off.
